Developer record
The most revealing thing about a token is not the flags in its contract but the person who launched it. This is RugScan's most valuable feature: finding who deployed the token, pulling that wallet's history, and reducing it to a single sentence.
«This developer launched 7 tokens, 6 of them died within 48 hours.»
For a user, this is more convincing than every other finding combined.
How many tokens they launched
Transactions with an empty recipient are filtered out of the wallet history; every contract it deployed is extracted.
How many are dead today
Each contract is checked against DEX Screener. Those whose liquidity has fallen below $1,000 count as dead.
How long the previous tokens lasted
The time between the pool opening and liquidity collapsing. Average lifespan is the harshest indicator in the record.
Whether they sold their own share
Whether the dev wallet emptied its position in the earlier tokens.
How old the wallet is
Professionals using fresh wallets look clean in the record. That is why wallet age is given as a separate warning.
Here is the crux: withdrawing from an exchange is anonymous. The money comes out of Binance's shared hot wallet; who withdrew it is invisible on-chain. But the deposit address you send to is unique to you.
So we reverse the direction of the trace: not where the dev got the money, but where they sent it. If the dev wallets of two different launches sent money to the same deposit address, those two launches are the same person — near certainly. It is the only practical way to catch professionals who use fresh wallets.
These matches do not fall out of a one-off query; history has to be accumulated. Every scan writes the dev wallets, deposit addresses, bundle patterns and token outcomes it saw into the database.
Three months later there is a record archive nobody else has. That is the one thing competitors cannot copy: scoring logic can be copied, accumulated history cannot.
Until the full archive is running, the audit report shows the creator and owner wallets it can read directly from the chain.
